What I learned that it is hard for me to think of making objects that I can not relate to real life
objects. Also making the texture for these objects proved to be difficult for me to handle. These
maquette’s reflect my style because they reflect the way my mind can spontaneously produce images
from my mind and make those images into ceramic objects. The most interesting object to me is the one
that has the multiple cones stuck together with a rough surface and the teeth looking things on the
hollow inside of the cones. It is interesting to me because I like the texture that I put on it.
I believe that this maquette is my strongest because it shows many aspects of art such as
texture, form, size, shape, and pattern. The maquette the presents the best glazing process is the cube
one. This one just has many glazes and they also blend together in a very superb manner. The second
strongest maquette is the one linear one with two right angles. I like the blend of glazes that this one
produced. If I were to do this project again I would glaze the maquettes different color and experiment
more with different type of textures.
